(a) Transactional and Operational Communications. We will use your email address to send communications necessary for the operation of your account and the Platform, including account creation and verification, subscription and purchase confirmations, billing and payment notifications, password resets, and notices of material changes to our Terms of Service or this Privacy Policy. These communications are necessary to perform our contract with you and do not require your separate marketing consent.
(b) Marketing Communications — Opt-In Required. We will use your email address to send marketing, promotional, or commercial communications—including newsletters, product announcements, offers, or similar content—only where you have affirmatively opted in to receive such communications. Consent to marketing communications is entirely voluntary and is not a condition of creating an account, accessing the Platform, or purchasing any content. You may provide or withdraw consent at any time as described in Section 7A below. Withdrawal of consent will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
(c) Support and Troubleshooting. We may use your email address to contact you in connection with customer support requests, technical issues, or account-related inquiries. Consistent with our commitment to minimizing unnecessary contact, we will first attempt to resolve support matters through in-app messaging, our help center, or other available in-platform channels. We will use your email address for support-related outreach only where no other reasonable communication channel is available or where email is necessary to resolve a material technical issue affecting your account or your access to the Platform. Such use does not constitute marketing communication and is not subject to your marketing consent status.

7A. Marketing Communications and Consent.
Playbook will send you marketing, promotional, or commercial email communications only where you have affirmatively opted in to receive them. You may opt in during account registration or at any time thereafter through your account settings. Opting in is never a condition of using the Platform.
You may withdraw your marketing consent at any time by: (i) updating your communication preferences in your account settings; (ii) clicking the “unsubscribe” link or following the opt-out instructions included in any marketing email sent by Playbook; or (iii) submitting a request to support@playbookapp.io. Playbook will process opt-out requests promptly and in no event later than ten (10) business days of receipt.
Please note that your marketing consent status is visible to Creators whose content you subscribe to or purchase through the Platform. This disclosure is made for the purpose of enabling Creators to determine whether they are permitted to contact you for marketing purposes using the email address associated with your account. Creators who access your email address are bound by the Creator Agreement, which prohibits them from sending you marketing communications without your opt-in consent. If you believe that a Creator has used your email address for unsolicited marketing communications in violation of this policy, please contact Playbook at support@playbookapp.io.
8. International Users
Playbook is based in the United States and operates globally. Your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

9. Children’s Privacy
Playbook does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.
